Indonesia Sees 13,802 New Covid-19 Infections, Total Case Exceeds One Million

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia continues to see high numbers of new Covid-19 cases. As of Friday noon, January 29, the government recorded 13,802 more cases over the course of 24 hours.
According to the national Covid-19 Task Force, Indonesia's total caseload has now reached 1,051,795 since the virus was first detected on March 2 last year.
Over the last day, the country also recorded 10,138 more Covid-19 recoveries, bringing the tally up to 852,260.
Meanwhile, the last 24 hour saw 187 more deaths. Indonesia has so far recorded 29,518 deaths of patients infected with the coronavirus.
On Friday, the state tested 77,330 specimens. The number of suspects recorded for the day is 81,497 people. More information and statistics are available at Covid19.go.id.
