Bank Jago Shares Gain 75% after Gojek Acquisition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The share of PT Bank Jago Tbk. (IDX: ARTO) soared on Monday's trade, January 25. ARTO price has risen 75 percent the Gojek Group acquired partial ownership of the bank.
On Monday, ARTO stood at Rp6,825 per share after gaining 6.64 percent. In mid-December, ARTO shares were still traded around Rp3,900.
The share price gains had pushed Bank Jago's market capitalization value up to Rp74.09 trillion.
The company shares gained popularity after PT Dompet Karya Anak Bangsa, a subsidiary of Gojek, acquired 1.95 billion shares worth Rp2.25 trillion on December 18, 2020.
Gojek believes that investing in Bank Jago is an important part of its long-term business strategy to strengthen growth and sustainability.
