TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kudus Acting Regent Hartopo said that the city administration would take stern action against tourist buses entering the regency in line with the implementation of the community activity restriction (PMKM) in an effort to curb Covid-19 transmission.
“We have instructed the Transportation Agency to act decisively. If there is a tourist bus from other regions heading to tourist sites in Kudus, it will be asked to turn around instantly,” said Hartopo in Kudus on Monday, January 25.
According to him, officers would be deployed at Dawe junction to block any buses carrying people from other regions to the Colo tourist site.
“Residents are still allowed [to visit tourist sites], while people from outside Kudus are prohibited in a bid to prevent possible coronavirus transmission. Previously, we ordered tourists from other regions willing to travel to Kudus to register themselves online,” Hartopo said.
After the social restriction or PPKM policy ended, he went on, tourist attractions would be allowed to reopen under the predetermined health protocols.
