TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Health Ministry asked hospitals to actively report the latest data of the availability of isolation beds and ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for Covid-19 patients. The report is necessary to update data on bed availability via the new mobile application developed by the ministry dubbed SIRANAP RS.
“Hospitals must update the number of every patient who is released home,” said the ministry's Health Services Directorate General Secretary, Azhar Jaya, here on Monday, Jan. 25.
The mobile app is now available on Play Store for Android smartphones, providing information regarding the availability of beds for patients diagnosed with coronavirus disease in all hospitals across the country, both public and private ones.
However, in the user review column, several netizens claimed the isolation room was actually full once they arrived at the hospital. Thus, Azhar hoped that the data could be updated in real-time.
He argued that this condition really depended on the active participation of the hospital, calling on them to quickly update the data.
The Health Ministry, Azhar added, would monitor the hospital's participation in reporting the availability of isolation beds and ICU for Covid-19 patients. “If they are being sluggish, we will pay the Covid claim gradually,” he said.
