Indonesia Sees Highest Daily Covid-19 Death Toll Again Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia reported its highest death toll related to the coronavirus disease today, Jan. 19. As many as 308 Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The previous record for the highest daily of fatalities was 306 recorded on January 13. The country’s fatality number has now reached 26,590.

The government also reported there were 10,365 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the nation’s total number of infections to 927,380 since the first cases were detected on March 2, 2020.

As of today, the number of recoveries increased by 8,013 to total at 753,948.

The Health Ministry also announced that 70,634 people tested today and there are still 76,971 suspect cases in Indonesia as of date.
