TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial government prepared 488 health facilities across the capital to provide Covid-19 vaccination. The simulation of logistic distribution and implementation of the immunization had been carried out in cooperation with the Health Agency in five regions, Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), and the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan).
"488 health facilities have been registered to P-Care BPJS as the operator of the immunization based on the predetermined requirements," said Jakarta Health Agency head Widyastuti in a virtual discussion on Thursday, Jan. 14.
The Covid-19 vaccine developed by China-based pharmaceutical firm Sinovac had been distributed to five cities and one district of Jakarta since Tuesday.
The distribution was conducted in stages starting from the Health Agency to health offices, Puskesmas, up to health facilities, including hospitals.
“The distribution is carried out while considering the cold chain management at each location,” Widyastuti added.
The 488 health facilities ready to hold Covid-19 vaccination include regional hospitals (RSUD), police or military hospitals, private hospitals, Puskesmas, and private or state-owned health clinics spread across six regencies/cities of Jakarta.
