TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Presidential Palace stated that it had reprimanded a celebrity, Raffi Ahmad, for neglecting the health protocols during a gathering with a number of other famous names on Wednesday night, Jan. 13. As circulated on social media, Raffi and friends did not wear face masks and maintain a safe distance.
Raffi’s action instantly became a public spotlight on social networking sites considering he was among the first people to join the inaugural Covid-19 vaccination along with President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo in the morning of the same day.
“He has been advised and reminded by the communication team of the Covid-19 mitigation to comply with the health protocols,” Presidential Secretariat Head Heru Budi Hartono told reporters on Thursday, Jan. 14.
Previously, President Jokowi reminded the public that implementing predetermined health protocols is still the main priority even after getting the Covid-19 vaccine.
“Even though the vaccination program has been carried out, I'd like to remind again about the importance of discipline towards health protocols. We must still wear face masks, wash hands, keep distance, and avoid crowds,” said Jokowi on Wednesday.
