New Year's Eve; Bali Applies Night Curfew

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Bali Provincial Government on Wednesday announced that it will impose a night curfew which will start from 23:00 Central Indonesia Time (WITA) as an attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19 during and after New Year’s Eve.
The Bali governor’s circular No.880/SatgasCovid19/XII/2020 stated that this policy will be effective from Wednesday, December 30, up to Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Bali Governor, I Wayan Koster, also called for the island’s mayors and regents to help control public activities following this announcement.
Local police and military command personnel will be mobilized to ensure that people adhere to the curfew.
