Terawan to Handover Health Minister's Position before December Ends

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Reports from the government suggest that former Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto will soon officially handover the position to Budi Gunawan Sadikin. Terawan was one of many state ministers targeted by President Jokowi's 'Cabinet Reshuffle' program.
Health Minister’s special staff member Alexander Kaliaga Ginting says the handover will take place after Christmas and before the New Year’s Eve holidays. But he is assured that it would all depend on the preparedness of the health ministry.
“It could be tomorrow or the day after but it all depends on the ministry’s readiness amidst the hectic schedules in facing the lengthy holidays,” wrote Alexander in a text message to Tempo on Monday, December 28.
Terawan Agus Putranto had been relieved from his position in the government since last week on December 23 as President Jokowi inaugurated Budi Gunawan Sadikin as the new Health Minister.
