TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno or Sandiaga Uno visited the Bali Governor's Office to talk of strategic measures to revive the tourism and the creative economy sector in the province.
During the discussion, Sandiaga said he had received a lot of suggestions from the Governor regarding ways to accelerate the recovery.
“We have agreed that we will move together quickly yet stay careful so that the employment in Bali can be saved and survive,” said the new minister in a written statement on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020.
Bali Governor I Wayan Koster in his statement, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Sandiaga’s visit that he considered as a form of the government’s commitment and concern for tourism and creative economy business players during the recovery era due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Koster said he and Sandiaga Uno agreed to issue a policy that would restore tourists’ trust. The tourism sector, he added, has become the main priority step to recover the economy of Bali.
“We have agreed to keep pushing various policies to restore the trust of tourists, especially foreigners, to visit Bali so that the tourism sector will revive,” Koster said.
