TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya confirmed that a negative result of a rapid antigen test letter is mandatory for people willing to visit tourist attractions in the city during Christmas and New Year holidays.
“Visitors are required to have a negative result of rapid test and swab tests taken at least three days before. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to enter tourist sites,” said Bima in Bogor on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.
The policy, he added, is part of the implementation of the micro-scale social restrictions (PSBMK) which takes effect beginning Wednesday to January 8, 2021.
According to the mayor, the rules were also applied in line with the policies issued by the Jakarta and the West Java Provincial Governments.
Bima called on the public to perform prayers at their respective homes during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
The city administration restricted residents' activities outside the home given the high trend of Covid-19 cases in the region that reach around 70 per day.
During the PSBMK period, the Covid-19 handling task force along with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) will tighten supervision in public places and conduct more intense patrols every day to ensure there are no crowds.
“Tourist site management that violates these regulations, allowing visitors without negative rapid test results, will be subject to sanctions, such as a warning letter, fines, up to the closure [of the business],” Bima said.
