Christmas and New Year Holidays; Ancol Limits Operating Hours

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ancol Dreamland Park or Taman Impian Jaya Ancol management has limited its operating hours during Christmas and New Year holidays, following Jakarta Gubernatorial Instruction No. 64/2020 and Gubernatorial Appeal No. 17/2020 on the control of public activity during holiday season amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“And the circular by Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency No. 427/2020,” said the park spokesman Rika Lestari in a written statement on Thursday, Dec. 24.

The operating hours of the park on Dec. 24, 26, and 27 are as follows:

- Ancol Gate: 06:00 - 18:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB)

- Beach area: 06:00 - 19:00 WIB

- Dufan theme park: 10:00 - 17:00 WIB

- Allianz Ecopark: 07:00 - 17:00 WIB

- Ocean Dream Samudra & Seaworld Ancol: 10:00 - 16:30 WIB

Meanwhile, the operating hours on Dec. 28 - 30 are:

- Ancol Gate: 06:00 - 20:00 WIB

- Beach area: 06:00 - 21:00 WIB

- Dufan theme park: 10:00 - 17:00 WIB

- Allianz Ecopark: 07:00 - 17:00 WIB

- Ocean Dream Samudra & Seaworld Ancol: 10.00 - 16.30 WIB

On Dec. 25 and 31, 2020, and January 1, 2021, the tourist site will be off-limits to the public. People wishing to spend holidays in Ancol, Rika underlined, are required to buy tickets online via www.ancol.com and abide by the predetermined health protocols.

To curb the Covid-19 transmission, the management will not hold Christmas and New Year celebration events in the area. “All recreational areas such as the beach, Dufan, Seaworld Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudra, Art Market, and Allianz Ecopark will operate as usual without any special event,” Rika said.

People willing to stay at Putri Duyung Resort can make reservations at www.ancol.com, too. Tourists can also visit the Thousand Islands and Bidadari Island via Marina Pier.
