Erick Thohir Believes Budi Gunadi Will Succeed in Covid-19 Vaccination Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Erick Thohir expressed gratitude for the partnership and contribution of Budi Gunadi Sadikin while accompanying him as the Deputy Minister. Erick also welcomed the appointment of Budi as the Health Minister.
“Thank you Pak Budi for your dedication and cooperation while serving as the SOE Deputy Minister I,” said Erick in a written statement on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020.
Erick said Budi’s hard work could drive transformation in the pharmaceutical and health industry. He opined that the naming of Budi as the Health Minister was a good decision since the government planned to hold Covid-19 vaccination programs.
“He has the competence to succeed in the Covid-19 vaccination program. Inshallah, he is trustworthy, has good leadership skills, and can accelerate our progress in restoring the health sector and ending the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Erick.
Erick said the SOE Ministry and state-owned companies in the pharmaceutical and health sector are ready to strengthen the support for the Health Ministry in containing the pandemic. He opined that the efforts against the pandemic could not be done alone yet require support and synergy of all elements.
“Let us work together to make the vaccination program a success, and keep strengthening the discipline of health protocols,” Erick Thohir said.
