TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After being inaugurated as Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini said that one of the urgent tasks given by President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is the distribution of Covid-19 social assistance for the fourth quarter.
"Bapak President asks for an urgent matter to the Ministry of Social Affairs, which is the aid distribution for the fourth quarter so, in early January 2021, it can be already delivered [to the recipients],” said Risma in Jakarta State Palace, Wednesday, December 23, 2020.
The PDIP politician said that the aid distribution must be carried out immediately as it is related to the national economy.

The ministry will also strive to anticipate disasters that are potentially caused by high intensity of rainfall due to the La Nina and El Nino phenomenon as predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
Tri Rismaharini also promised that the Ministry of Social Affairs will immediately improve data on recipients of Covid-19 social assistance in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Directorate General of Population.
