TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government’s Covid-19 task force at Tuesday's press conference at the State Palace declared its commitment to fight for the wellbeing and safety of healthcare workers.

The task force spokesperson, Professor Wiku Adisasmito, said the special team tasked for this consists of doctors, healthcare workers, health experts, and volunteers.

“[They] will monitor the quality of the handling of doctors who are infected,” said Wiku on December 22. “Along with supporting aspects that are done in its treatment process.”

In the press conference, Wiku was vocal to appreciate the efforts shown by nurses, hospital management, laboratorium personnel, clinical workers, and other forms of healthcare workers who have worked tirelessly overtime during the pandemic and ensure the wellbeing of the public.

“And it is because of that that we should appreciate the hard work and commitment shown by healthcare workers and work together to help reduce their load,” said Wiku.
