5 Items to Bring in Your Air Travel This Holiday Season

23 December 2020 13:09 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Despite the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic still lingering, many people have started to travel during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays either to briefly return to their hometowns or simply find refreshment by traveling to tourist destinations. One of the means of travel is by air travel, but these are some of the aspects that need to be followed before doing so.

Administrational requirements

People choosing air travel as their means of transport in the year-end holidays must bring with them negative swab or rapid antigen or PCR test results as many air carriers and destinations have required visitors to prove they are free from Covid-19.

Wear your mask

The government and health community highly urges people to always, at all cost, wear face masks as they travel. The types may vary but the most recommended are two-ply medical or cloth masks that encompass the entire bottom half of the face and in no circumstance drop your face mask during your flight.

Carry a hand sanitizer with you

Seeing mobile public washbowls installed in many public areas has become a normal sight nowadays, however, it is also recommended for you to bring your own hand sanitizer which would prove handy in situations where you are far from the public facilities to wash your hands.

Have no fear to bring a bottle of hand sanitizer with you into the aircraft cabin as many flight regulations have allowed for a 12 ounce hand sanitizer bottle per passenger to be carried in the cabin.

Maintain physical distances

This may be a repetitive health warning for people in this time and age, but it is important to remind you to distance yourself at a minimum of 1-meter in queues.

Bring a tissue

If you travel with children, having tissues ready with you can prove very useful to clean any items in a reaching-distance of your child.
