TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi on Tuesday said investors from Turkey have shown growing interest to invest in Indonesia. This was expressed after a meeting with Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
In today’s press conference, Retno said that since June 2020 the two countries have discussed bilateral opportunities in the technology and industrial sector.
“Intense talks between both countries to partner in the field of aerospace, electric cars, spaceport constructions, satellites and satellite launchers, and medical and pharmaceutical technologies,” said Minister Retno Marsudi on December 22.
In the meeting, the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister acknowledged the much-debated Omnibus Job Creation Law which she said creates a safe investment climate for Turkish investors. Both Turkey and Indonesia have increased their partnership in the defense sector as state officials and experts in the field of defense intensified visits with each other.
