TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A respiratory illness, Covid-19 has symptoms that may resemble other diseases such as the flu or a common cold. People infected with Covid-19 experience mild symptoms, and some are without symptoms. Recent research has found that there are five signs that show you are infected with Covid-19.

Times of India reported a study published in the journal Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology. It said that medical experts found that out of 412 patients observed, 82 percent showed neurological problems that existed even after they were treated with the virus.

Patients also developed certain other symptoms that suggest that they had already contracted Covid-19 earlier on. Listed below are five symptoms that could be a sign you have been infected with the virus.

Headache

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has listed headaches as one of the common symptoms of Covid-19. It can range from mild pains to severe aches.

Muscle pain

According to the study published in the journal Annals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, 44.8 percent of volunteers who participated in the experiment developed muscle pains as a result of Covid-19. Muscle pain is also a sign that the virus has infected you for a long time.

Brain fog

Loss of sense of smell and taste

Loss of sense of smell and taste is a very common symptom that is highly prevalent in most Covid patients. While this is very discomforting, it is a symptom that can usually confirm whether you have the coronavirus or not.

Sore Eyes

Many people who tested positive for the coronavirus have complained of developing pain in the eyes. However, it is also believed that it may be caused by too long hours spent looking at monitors and screens during the lockdown.
