TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra politician Sandiaga Uno confirmed today, Dec. 7, that he tested positive for the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
“After conducting a swab test today at my residence, as a follow-up to the positive result of Nur Asia's swab test yesterday, the result turns out that I am also positive for coronavirus,” said Sandiaga in his statement on Monday, Dec. 7.
Sandiaga claimed he and his wife were in good and healthy condition and not developing symptoms. Meanwhile, the swab test results of his son, Sulaiman, and others living in the same house came back negative.
As they were asymptomatic carriers, Sandiaga said he and his wife would undergo self-isolation. He also asked for prayers for his and Nur Asia’s recovery, as well as for all who are struggling with the disease.
The former Jakarta deputy governor also reminded the public to obey the health protocols of 3M, viz. wearing face masks, maintaining physical distance with each other, and washing hands with soap.
“After hardships, there comes ease. Hopefully, we will always be protected by Allah,” he said.
