IHSG Up by 1.25 Percent After The Arrival of Sinovac Vaccine

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Composite Index (IHSG) opened strong in Monday’s trade following the rising trend of global exchanges and the sentiment from the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine arriving in Indonesia on Sunday.
The IHSG performed positively on December 7 trade at 09:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) which jumped 1.25 percent (72.47 points) to 5,882.95. There are 223 stocks that have strengthened, corrections on 26 stocks, and 165 stagnant.
Top gainers were state-pharmaceutical firms PT Kimia Farma Tbk. (KAEF) and PT Indofarma Tbk. (INAF) which recorded growths of 7.89 percent and 7.67 percent respectively.
The final trading session on Friday, December 4, saw the IHSG corrected by 0.21 percent to the level of 5,810 with the agriculture sector experiencing the deepest correction of 2.40 percent after the sentiments on sentiment of cutting CPO import duties in India.
Commodity issuers shares are expected to be lifted in Monday’s trade which include MBAP, ADRO, PTBA, ITMG, HRUM, INDY, UNTR, INCO, TINS, AALI, and LSIP.
