TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three airports run by state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura I (AP I) had won the Health Ministry’s 'Healthy Airport Award'. The airports are Ahmad Yani Semarang, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan Balikpapan, and Lombok Praya.
“The award is our appreciation towards the commitment of Angkasa Pura I in implementing the health protocol to curb the spread of COVID-19 across its airports,” said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi.
As the award’s title suggests, this is given to airports that have successfully implemented the critical aspect in preventing further infections.
Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto said the initiative is part of the government’s program of urging better health measures across public facilities.
Angkasa Pura I has consistently implemented the protocols across the airports it manages, especially amid the growing air traffic nationwide.
