Jakarta Records More than 1,000 New Covid-19 Cases on Tuesday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta government reported 1,015 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, November 24. With the addition, the capital's coronavirus tally is now 129,188 cases.
"The number of recoveries is 118,062 people with a 91.4 percent recovery rate," Dwi Oktavia, head of the Jakarta Provincial Health Office's Disease Prevention and Control Division, said in a written statement, Tuesday.
She added that the number of deaths related to coronavirus in the capital has reached 2,567 people, or 2 percent of confirmed cases.
"The death rate in Jakarta is still below the national figure of 3.4 percent," he said.
The number of active cases in Jakarta today fell by 63 cases to 8,559 people. "We urge residents to keep obeying and implementing health protocols to prevent Covid-19 transmission," Dwi remarked.
