TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in a statement released by the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday, November 22, wrote that the president delivered a statement about recoveries from the pandemic that can only be achieved through clear visions, actions, and major changes.
The president mentioned this in the G20 Summit virtual conference’s second session from the Bogor Presidential Palace, which focuses on building an inclusive, sustainable, and solid future. .
“[Recovering from the pandemic] can only be realized through big visions, big actions, and big transformations,” said Jokowi.
The president predicates that the COVID-19 pandemic had provided the global community with a valuable lesson to conduct self-introspection not only to recover from the health and economic crisis, but also to grow even stronger to a state prior to the pandemic.
“Indonesia will also commit to major transformations, where Indonesia is committed to create a greener and sustainable economy,” the state secretariat reported. “The economic recoveries must no longer ignore protection towards the environment.”
