TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration through the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) has found more businesses that violated the predetermined health protocol during the Transitional Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).
Two cafes and one billiard hall in Jalan Raya Pemuda, Pulogadung, East Jakarta were forced to close on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
“Two cafes and one billiard hall are closed because they were open over the operational hours limit and violated the distancing rule,” said Pulogadung Satpol PP head, Andik Sukaryanto, in Jakarta, Monday, November 16, 2020.
Based on the Decree of the Jakarta Tourism Agency Head No. 259/2020, all cafes and other entertainment venues are permitted to operate until 9 p.m.
“We found that the number of visitors was more than 50 percent capacity and they neglected the physical distancing rule,” Andik explained.
Satpol PP had also warned employees and visitors who did not wear face masks. “We close those business places for 1x24 hours. Whatever reasons they said, they did wrong. If they do that again, we will subject them to a fine of Rp50 million,” Andik said.
