AirAsia Launches 5 New Domestic Routes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Budget airline AirAsia Indonesia is set to launch five new routes in mid-December 2020. The promo ticket prices offered start from Rp282,000, including free baggage allowance of up to 15 kilograms.
The new routes are Jakarta-Padang, which will be served 10 times a week; Jakarta-Pekanbaru, which is available 10 times a week; Jakarta-Palembang, 11 times a week; Jakarta-Pontianak, 14 times a week; and Bandung-Bali, 3 times a week.
The airline's president firector, Veranita Yosephine Sinaga, said the opening of the five new routes was the answer to positive inputs made by the public who called for airline services in their area.
Veranita added AirAsia was also striving to support tourism development in the country and the national economic recovery. “While continuing to promote the implementation of strict health protocols for air travels,” she said as quoted in a press release, Friday, November 13, 2020.
The airline offered special ticket prices starting from Rp282,000 for the Jakarta-Palembang route, Rp428,000 for the Jakarta-Pontianak route, Rp471,000 for the Jakarta-Pekanbaru route, Rp489,000 for the Jakarta-Padang route, and Rp745,000 for the Bandung-Bali route.
Recently, AirAsia launched an unlimited flight pass deal for Rp1.5 million, which was effective beginning November 9 until November 15, 2020.
