TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia on Wednesday announced that he will take up the challenge from the ‘Cipayung Plus students activist’ to a debate about the Job Creation Law scheduled to be held this evening at 19:30 Western Indonesia Times (WIB).
“I am prepared to accept the challenge to an open debate. This is crucial as I am also a part of Cipayung’s extended family,” said Bahlil in his written statement on Wednesday, November 4. “So I will pay a visit to my younger brothers and sisters; the student activists of the Cipayung Plus.”
The debate was said to be held in physical attendance abiding by strict COVID-19 health protocols that will also be aired on BKPM’s Youtube channel, BKPM TV. The open invite was sent by the student activists yesterday which was sent to Bahlil and the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.
The BKPM head said he supports ‘intellectual discussions’. He believes such events are chances for the government to clarify several aspects about the Job Creation law that has not been conveyed properly to the public.
