TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Operational Director of city-owned bus operator Transjakarta, Prasetia Budi, reported that three lines of bus service are rerouted in an anticipatory measure of two demonstrations held in Central Jakarta, Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue and French Embassy, on Monday, November 2.
The three lines are Line 1 Blok M-Kota, Line 2 Pulogadung - Harmoni, and Line 6 Ragunan Monas (Line 6A via Kuningan and Line 6B via Semanggi).
“Other than these routes, all services run normally and the operation will be situational. Transjakarta keeps coordinating with Jakarta Metro Police to ensure the safety of both passengers and officers and the continuity of its operation today,” said Prasetia in a written statement.
Here is the rerouting of Transjakarta’s trips:
- Line 1 Blok M- Kota
Bus route heading to Kota: Blok M - Sarinah - Sarinah traffic light - Bank Indonesia traffic light - Jl.Kebon Sirih - Hotel Milenium - Jl.Fachrudin - Jati Baru - Jl.Cideng Barat - Tarakan traffic light - Petojo bus stop - Harmoni traffic light - Harmoni - Kota.
The bus route heading to Blok M operates normally.
- Line 2 Pulogadung-Harmoni
Due to road closure in Juanda, the bus will not stop at Juanda Pecenongan bus stop.
- Line 6 Ragunan-Monas
Both routes heading to Monas via Kuningan and Semanggi will be shortened to until Tosari as Monas areas are off-limit.
“We appeal to customers to always be careful on the road, stay alert, and always prioritize personal and family safety,” said Prasetia.
Transjakarta also calls on people to stay at home. However, should Jakartans have to leave the house, make sure to apply the predetermined health protocol dubbed 3M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining distance.
