President Jokowi Passes Perpres on KPK Supervision Over Police, AGO

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has passed the presidential regulation (Perpres) related to the supervision aspect of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The Perpres No.102/2020 is mandated in Article 10 (2) No.19/2019 overseeing the commission with supervision being one of the main tasks of the anti-graft commission.
Article 2 (1) of the Perpres President Jokowi passed on October 20, states that the KPK is authorized to supervise instances that are authorized to conduct the eradication of corruption. To clearly translate this, the instances the Perpres refers to include the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Attorney General’s Office (AGO).
Article 3 explains that supervision can be conducted on corruption cases handled by the National Police and AGO.
