TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto on Thursday inaugurated Abdul Kadir as the new director-general of healthcare services in a move that is parallel to the development program of state-apparatus to improve the public service quality.

“Which is why I personally asked the public health director-general to immediately consolidate with a number of high ranking leaders within the directorate-general to better coordinate with each other,” Terawan wrote in his written statement on October 22.

Abdul Kadir previously held the position as the head of the Health Ministry’s human resources development and empowerment.

Moreover, Minister Terawan urged the newly appointed director-general to be an individual that is more open to inputs and criticism. He also suggested Kadir create a positive environment that would support the ministry’s task.
