TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Leading expert on political communication at the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Donny Gahral Adian, said the government would immediately draft derivative regulations of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.
Earlier today, October 14, the House of Representatives (DPR) finally submitted the final document of the law to President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
“The government will now work to formulate derivative rules that will explain the law in more detail,” Donny told reporters.
According to him, President Jokowi has asked the Omnibus Law to be completed soon. “The president says [it should be finished] within three months at maximum, so I think the drafting team has started the work,” he added.
Donny said the government would still involve the public during the deliberation of the derivative regulations so that it could be held accountable to the public.
“The drafting team will surely invite academics, community leaders, mass organizations, and all who can provide input on this derivative regulation,” Donny said.
The DPR Secretary-General Indra Iskandar today afternoon submitted the 812-pages-long final document of the Job Creation Law to the State Secretariat at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta.
