TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ancol Dreamland Park (Taman Impian Jaya Ancol) announced that it will reopen amidst the reintroduction of the transitional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) - a regulation loosening the COVID-19 restrictions by 50 percent - that is introduced today on October 12.
Ancol president director Teuku Sahir Syahali on Sunday announced that management will continue to implement strict health protocols during the transitional PSBB opening. However, he asserts that people can only visit the tourist site through online reservations.
“The policy will continue to follow the previous [protocol],” said Syahali. “We now accept visits from a wide range of people, even those with non-Jakarta IDs.”
Destinations within the coastal tourist site are all now open for the public except the Atlantis Water Adventures which will be gradually open. Ancol had been closed throughout the social restriction known as the PSBB on September 14 following the rise of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the capital city.
