Indonesia-Singapore Flights to Resume October 26

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia and Singapore agreed to reopen flights between the two nations starting October 26. The countries held negotiations in August concerning the flight restrictions due to Covid-19.
A joint statement from Indonesia and Singapore’s foreign affairs ministries on Monday, October 12, mentioned the importance of maintaining mutual cooperation in facing Covid-19 challenges, which include reopening borders whilst ensuring public health in respective nations.
The Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA) is not valid for the common traveler. The joint statement said that only cross-border travel for essential business and official purposes are allowed to resume.
Both countries said that there would be no relaxation on health protocols, and travelers will get pre-departure and post-arrival Covid-19 swab tests from mutually recognized health institutions
Singapore decided to close their borders in March to curb the coronavirus transmission in the country, which are mainly imported cases. However, they do promise easing when the situation is conducive, especially for matters of an urgent and important nature.
