COVID-19 Update: 1,597 Patients in Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, 84 Recovered

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe number of COVID-19 patients recovering from the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital in Kemayoran, Jakarta, has increased by 84 today, October 7, 2020.

The spokesperson for the hospital Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said a total of 1,597 patients were being treated in the hospital as of today. Besides, patients with mild and moderate symptoms were placed in isolation venues in Tower 6 and 7.

“The number of inpatients confirmed positive for the virus is 1,597 consisting of 753 men and 844 women,” said Aris in a written statement, Wednesday, October 7, 2020.

He added that 84 patients have made full recoveries, bringing the total to 1,681. The cumulative number of people with the coronavirus disease in Tower 6 and 7 as of today at 8 a.m. reached 20,008.

Of that number, 18,064 patients were declared cured, 340 patients were referred to other hospitals, seven people died, and the rest were still being treated.

Tower 6 and 7 of Wisma Atlet Hospital Kemayoran were set as isolation centers for COVID-19 carriers presenting mild to moderate symptoms. Asymptomatic carriers, meanwhile, were placed under quarantine in Tower 4 and 5.
