Two More Banks Report Employees Contracting Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Ministry of Health noted that as of Monday, September 28, the total number of cases of Covid-19 positive cases in the nation reached 278,722 people. In Jakarta, the office cluster contributed the most new cases, including banks.

On Monday, Bank Permata Bintaro branch, South Tangerang reported that 86 employees tested positive for the virus. They did not show symptoms. These are the results of PCR swab tests on 2,333 permanent and outsourced employees at tower Bintaro.

In the past month, two other banks also reported Covid-19 transmission among employees.  

The Padang branch of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) was shut down for three days after 74 employees tested positive on September 21 and 22.  

Meanwhile, the Medan branch of Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) announced that 14 employees at the Kuantan Singingi Branch, Riau Province, had tested positive after taking swab tests. The BSM Kuansing cluster has a total of 15 people.
