TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In the House of Representatives (DPR) hearing today, September 24, attorney general Sanitiar Burhanuddin explained that the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) program dubbed Tabur - which specifically hunts down AGO fugitives - have managed to arrest 78 suspects that were on the run.
The Tabur program was first initiated by AGO’s intelligence team.
"[We've managed to catch] an average of 9-10 fugitives each month," said the attorney general in his video call presentation.
In response, the DPR law commission speaker Herman Hery reiterated AGO’s role in having a deeper role upon upholding the rule of law, protecting the public interest, upholding issues closely-related to human rights, and the eradication of corruption, collusion, and nepotism.
“The Attorney General's Office, in conducting its task, has a central position in its strategic role to strengthen the national resilience,” said Herman Hery.
