KPK Auctions Confiscated Luxury Cars, Jewelries from Corruption Cases

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will auction off confiscated assets from a number of corruption cases tomorrow. The confiscated items include those belonging to former Constitutional Court chief justice Akil Mochtar, who sentenced to live for accepting brives. During his tenure in court.
According to the KPK's acting spokesperson, Ali Fikri, the auction will be held online.
Apart from Akil's case, there are also several items from other corruption cases, including the confiscated belongings and assets of former North Sumatra Governor Gatot Pudjo Nugroho; former Home Affairs Minister Hari Sabarno; and Muzni Tambusai, a former official from the Manpower and Transmigration Office.
The KPK will auction 15 items, including luxury cars, jewelries, as well as electronic devices.
Ali said the auction would be held online on Thursday, September 24. Acting as intermediary is the Jakarta III State Wealth and Auction Service Office (KPKNL). Ali said that interested bidders can check out the details and T&C at www.lelang.go.id.
