Anies Baswedan: Burial under Covid-19 Protocol Increases Three-fold

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the burial under Covid-19 protocol has increased two to three-fold daily in September. In July, it reached 20 Covid-19 burials per day.

"Since September, the burial processed under the Covid-19 protocol reaches 40-60 people per day," Anies said Saturday, Sept. 19. 

The governor called on the people to be disciplined in implementing health measures which include wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and washing hands. Anies also asked senior residents and those who have comorbidities to comply with the health protocols and refrain from doing activities outside of homes.

Covid-19 infection in the capital city is still high, resulting in the reimposition of large-scale social restriction (PSBB).
