TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta fire and rescue agency on Thursday conducted a complete sterilization at the City Hall’s block G building after a positive case of COVID-19 infection was found.
“The City Hall block G building will be completely disinfected,” said the fire and rescue agency spokesperson Saeful to Tempo on Thursday, September 17.
Saeful explains that the disinfection will cover the entire 14-story building and its surrounding outdoor area.
Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan previously on Wednesday announced that the building will be closed for three days after two City Hall employees were exposed to the virus. THe three-day closure adheres to the governor’s regulation No.88 on the large-scale social restriction (PSBB).
The Jakarta administration is also in mourning after the passing of Jakarta administration secretary, Saefullah, due to COVID-19. The secretary’s office was located inside the block G facility.
