27 Tourism Sites in Jakarta Temporary Closed Under PSBB Protocol

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta provincial administration has effectively closed 27 tourism sites that are under its control after the large-scale social restriction or PSBB had been reinstated starting today, Monday, September 14. 

Based on the data by the administration’s official Twitter account, @DKIJakarta on Sunday, the temporary closures are mainly to protect its citizens from the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). They also announced that the 27 locations will be subjected to a thorough sterilization. 

Here are the 27 tourism sites run by the city administration temporarily closed overseen by the PSBB regulation:

  1. The national monument (Monas) area. 
  2. Setu Babakan Betawi cultural center 
  3. The Condet Karawitan and Dance Lab
  4. Benyamin Sueb Park 
  5. Wayang Orang Bharata
  6. Miss Tjitjih theater group
  7. Five Jakarta area art rehearsal centers 
  8. The Gedung Kesenian Jakarta
  9. Museum Sejarah Jakarta/ Jakarta History Museum
  10. Taman Prasasti Museum
  11. MH Thamrin Museum 
  12. 12 Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik; The ceramic and arts museum
  1. Museum Tekstil/ textile museum
  2. Museum Wayang/ Wayang Museum 
  3. Museum Bahari/ Bahari Museum
  4. Joang '45 museum
  5. Ancol;
  6. The Kota Tua tourism area
  7. The Ragunan wildlife park
  8. TMII
  9. Planetarium Jakarta
  10. Taman Ismail Marzuki 
  11. Cipir Island
