Honda Prospect Motor Resumes Production Under Strict Health Protocols

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Administration has decided to impose a full-scale PSBB social restrictions starting on Monday, September 14, in a bid to flatten the rising COVID-19 infection cases in the capital. 

Honda Prospect Motor (HPM)'s business innovation and sales marketing director, Yusak Billy, said the company would abide by the government’s restrictions and adjust its business to existing rules, especially at its main headquarters in North Jakarta’s Sunter area. 

“We will look into the details of the rules [implementation],” said Yusak Billy to Tempo, Friday, September 11. 

As for its Karawang assembly factory, Billy added that production activities would continue to meet the demands of domestic and export markets. He asserted that production activities would abide by stringent health restrictions. 

From January to July 2020, the total exports of completely built-up (CBU) vehicles from Indonesia reached 120,662 units with Honda's exports contributing 2,400 vehicles.
