TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan required all offices and workplaces to suspend operation starting Monday, September 14, 2020, as he pulled the emergency brake policy and stopped the transitional PSBB.
“Through the emergency brake policy and the PSBB status reimposed, non-essential offices in Jakarta must be closed and workers must work from home,” said Anies in an official statement on Wednesday, September 9.
Anies only allowed 11 essential workplaces to continue running yet under limited operations and number of workers.
The operating permit for non-essential workplaces obtained during the previous restriction period and issued by the city administration or the Industry Ministry would no longer be valid, he added. Offices should request re-evaluation if they need to get an exception.
“Besides, all entertainment venues must be closed as well,” Anies Baswedan said.
The 11 essential sectors exempted from the PSBB policy are health, food, energy, communication and information technology, finance, logistics, hospitality, construction, strategic industry, basic services including public utilities and industries set as national vital objects, and daily necessities.
