Presidential Staff: Govt Does Not Organize Buzzers, Only Influencers

2 September 2020 13:37 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The leading expert at the Office of the Presidential Staff (KSP), Donny Gahral Adian, asserts that the government had never organized with “buzzers.”

“Never has the government organized with them. The government does indeed use influencers, but for positive purposes,” said Donny in a discussion with the University of Indonesia’s Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) on Wednesday, September 2.

According to him, the government only uses the services of influencers to amplify the government’s policies among members of the public. He also denies ordering influencers to “spin’ the facts,

“Influencers have many followers. [They are] amplifiers of government messages that are positive,” said Donny. “Make it proportional, what is delivered is what exists.”

He also assures that the government never changes its commitment and will legally process pro-government ‘buzzers’ that conduct their practices outside of the law.

Donny Adian said that the government is concerned if there are buzzers affiliating themselves to the people in power that act outside the law. “Anyone, and anything, if there are complaints and proof is presented  they will be processed,” he assured.
