2 More Doctors in North Sumatra Succumb to COVID-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Unfortunate news came from Medan in North Sumatra, where two doctors assigned in two separate hospitals have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus or COVID-19.
The death of the doctors adds to the total list of 10 doctors in the region who perished due to exposure to the virus that first emerged from Wuhan, China.
The two doctors are Dr. Daud Ginting SpPD FINASIM and Dr. Edwin Parlindungan Marpaung SpOT.
According to official reports, Dr. Daud died on early Sunday at 02:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) at the Columbia Asia hospital while Dr. Edwin died later in the night at 21:44 WIB at a different hospital.
“It’s confirmed, Two doctors in Medan died because of exposure to COVID-19 on Sunday,” said the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) Medan Chairperson, Dr. Wijaya Juwarna Sp-THT-K, L.
