PSI Fully Supports Giring Ganesha's 2024 Presidential Election Candidacy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Solidarity Party (PSI) on Tuesday, August 25, had declared their support for one of its members and acting-chairman, Giring Ganesha, who announced his presidential candidacy for the 2024 presidential election yesterday.
According to the PSI spokesperson Dara Nasution, party members will support Giring's decision and that no dissent has been shown internally.
Giring - who is also known for his stage name Giring Nidji during his time leading the band Nidji - is temporarily replacing Grace Natalie as chairperson as Natalie is continuing her study in Singapore.
“The support from internal party members is extremely solid for Giring Ganesha’s presidential candidacy,” said the PSI spokesperson. “He has the competence and integrity as a politician. He also represents the faces of creative youths.”
On Monday, Giring Ganesha announced that he would run for the 2024 presidential election.
"The path I have chosen will not be easy. During times where people have lost interest, cynical, or pessimistic towards politics, but I chose to get involved," said the former lead vocalist of Nidji.
