ICW Report Reveals Govt Budget for Influencers, Digital Activities

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) recorded that the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry has allocated the largest budget to spend on the services of influencers which amounts to Rp77.66 billion.
Following in the second spot is the Communication and Informatics Ministry with Rp10.83 billion while the third-largest allocated budget for influencer services is prepared by the Education and Cultural Affairs Ministry with Rp1.6 billion.
“Next is the Transportation Ministry with Rp195.8 million, and then the Sports and Youth Ministry with Rp150 million,” ICW researcher Egi Primayoga explained in a written report on Friday, August 21.
In terms of allocated spending for digital activities, the Tourism Ministry ranks second with an allocated budget of Rp263.29 billion just behind the Indonesian National Police that has allocated Rp937 billion for digital activities.
Egi explained that the Electronic Procurement Service Report (LPSE) that ICW cites suggests that the government had already allocated budgets for digital activities since 2014, with total spending of Rp1.29 trillion in six years.
