Two Teenagers Killed in East Jakarta Street Brawl

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two young boys were killed during a street brawl in West Pramuka Road, East Jakarta, one of them was just 12 years old. The student brawl took place before dawn today, August 18.
"The victims are Aditya Lestianto, 12, and Yaris Riadi, 17," Matraman Police Precinct chief, Comr. Tedjo Asmoro, said in Jakarta, Tuesday.
The street fight happened before dawn next to a public fishing pond in North Utan Kayu. Tedjo said the victims were taken to the Matraman General Hospital at around 5:30 a.m., but they were already dead.
During the crime scene investigation, the police found two machetes.
According to witnesses, the two teenagers were hanging around at the crime scene when dozens of people on motorcycles came. They stopped on the Matraman flyover and started attacking people, including the two victims.
