Indonesia Records 1,673 More Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia continues to see high numbers of new Covid-19 cases. In the past week, there have been more than 1,300 new cases every day. On August 12 and 14, the number of new confirmed cases even exceeded 2,000.
On Tuesday, August 18, the national Covid-19 Task Force reported 1,673 new confirmed cases. This brings the nation's tally up to 143,043 positive cases.
Meanwhile, the number of people who recovered on the day rose by 1,848. In total, Indonesia's recovery cases now reached 96,306 people. This means that the nation's recovery rate now stands at 67.3 percent.
Indonesia is also still recording Covid-19 deaths. Today, 70 more people died. The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Indonesia is now 6,277.
As of today, health authorities are still monitoring 78,394 suspects of probable infection.
