Best Ways to Drink Green Tea for Weight Loss, Detoxification

    Early morning and the evening can be a good time for drinking green tea, as cited from Indian Express on July 9, 2020. The following are the rules to consume tea for detox and losing fat.

    1. Brew it with warm water

    Some people brew green tea with boiling water and leave it for minutes that would lose its subtle taste and essence. This wrong way can also release its bitterness. It is best to enjoy it warm.

    2. Don't drink it right after meals

    Having a cup of tea right after meals will not reduce fat and burn calories. This may even slow down the body’s digestion process. Make a gap of at least an hour or two as experts suggested.

    3. Steep it for a few minutes only 

    Steeping the tea extract for too long is counterproductive as it will make it bitter tasting and release harmful substances. The right amount of time is between two and three minutes.

    4. Enjoy drinking process

    Green tea must be enjoyed and consumed at leisure. Rushing the drinking process will not serve the detoxification purpose.

    5. Do not drink it along with medication

    Drinking green tea after taking medicine may increase severe acidity in the stomach. It is always best to drink plain water to wash down medicines.
