Police to Apprehend Fugitive Joko Tjandra at Jakarta Airport

  • TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A squad from the Indonesian national police main headquarters (Mabes Polri) is reportedly heading to the Halim Perdanakusuma airport in East Jakarta to forcefully apprehend fugitive Joko Tjandra

    “I am on my way to the airport to pick him up,” the Mabes Polri spokesperson confirmed to Tempo on Thursday evening, July 30. 

    Based on the information obtained, Joko Tjandra’s arrest is led directly by the head of the police’s criminal investigation unit (Bareskrim), General Commissioner Listyo Sigit Prabowo. 

    According to the police, the fugitive of the Bank Bali scandal will be taken to the Bareskrim headquarters in South Jakarta.
