TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP II) announced today that travelers would no longer be required to present an entry and exit permit or SIKM at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta.
The AP II Director of Operation and Service, Muhamad Wasid, said inspections of passengers arriving at the two airports during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic were related to electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) and body temperature checking by using thermal scanners.
“There will be no more inspection of SIKM, but HAC or e-HAC and body temperature checking for arriving passengers remain,” said Wasid on Monday, July 20.
Travelers can fill out the HAC or e-HAC before having a trip or during the departure process at origin airports and the inspection will be carried out at destination airports. During the departure process, passengers must also present their identities and documents of rapid or PCR tests declaring they are free of COVID-19.
The removal of the SIKM requirement took place following the Jakarta administration’s decision to replace it with the inspection of the Corona Likelihood Metric (CLM). However, this has not been applied yet at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
